Good words.
Small adventures.
Feetle is a little invitation to slow down, play with words, and see where one letter can take you.
A very short journey.
You begin with a four-letter word. Change one letter, make a new word, and keep going until you reach FEET. There can be lots of valid routes. The shortest is called par; a few detours are part of the fun.
Our daily puzzle gives everyone on this site the same starting word, with a new challenge at 08:00 UTC. Unlimited mode is for whenever one puzzle isn’t quite enough. There are no accounts, subscriptions or fees to play.
Our dictionary.
The game uses a modified four-letter subset of SCOWL (Spell Checker Oriented Word Lists), release 2020.12.07, from the English and American word lists through size 60. We exclude names, abbreviations, non-letter entries and a small set of unsuitable words. Starting words are selected separately, and every starting word has a verified path to FEET.
The collective word lists are copyright 2000–2018 Kevin Atkinson and the contributors named in the complete copyright and permission notices. Our filtered list is a modified version. The notices include the terms for the original components; they are distributed with the game.
About this site.
Feetle on feetlewordle.com is independently operated, with its own code, dictionary, puzzle sequence and daily numbering. It is not affiliated with feetle.fun or The New York Times’ Wordle. If you’re looking for the original Feetle site’s exact daily puzzle, visit feetle.fun.
The one-letter word ladder is a long-established word puzzle. Feetle’s FEET destination is also used at feetle.fun, whose creator credits Poople as an inspiration. This site’s daily puzzles are its own challenges.
